Keith Morrison is a martial artist of varied experience. He was exposed to Shotokan Karate as a child which eventually led to the practice of American Kenpo Karate with Instructor Joe Pazzaglia. Upon entering university, Keith relocated and took up the study of Jeet Kun Do which gave new perspective to his Kenpo practice. In 2006, Keith relocated again, this time to Tokyo, Japan, and began training in Muay Thai Kickboxing. Though his primary interest in the martial arts is centered around practicality, development of overall health, and self/other-protection, he has fought five semi-professional bouts with a 3-1-1 record. Keith is also an accomplished academic, holder of a Masters Degree in the Humanities from Pacifica Graduate Institute and currently a Ph.D Candidate at the California Institute of Integral Studies. He currently works as a freelance writer and university instructor in Tokyo, Japan. He runs the Integral Martial Arts club as a non-profit at his place of employment. At Pazzaglia’s American Kenpo Karate “International Martial Arts Seminar,” in August of 2013, Mr. Morrison was officially recognized as a Shodan in the Pazzaglia’s American Kenpo Karate school, out of respect for his accomplishments in the martial arts as well as his contributions to our school. We are privileged and honored to have him as a senior member of our dojo. When Mr. Morrison visits the states, he always spends time training, teaching and sharing the love of the martial arts with us.
